VULVECTOMY is a Slamming Brutal Death Metal band from Italy and took life on January 2007 by the will of Diego Fanelli, already singer of Stench Of Dismemberment, with the intent to create a project devoted to play total fucking brutal slam, mainly influenced by Devourment, Inhuman Dissiliency, Cephalotripsy etc. The degenerative process was transmitted from Diego (vox) to Mario Di Giambattista from Rome who joined the band on May of 2007; but they were still in search of a drummer to complete the line up. Some drummers were tried out, but the two members decided to try with the drum machine until a live drummer could be filled.

In June 2007 another member joined the band, Marco Diciolla (bass).
With this line up the band recorded it’s first promo cd “SYPHILIC DISMEMBERD SLUT”.

The song-writing was very hard during the last months of the year so the band was unleashed in September with 7 new tracks! During October the band entered the Jolly Roger Studio in Casamassima (Bari) to record the first full-length studio album.

After two weeks of recording the first album “PUTRESCENT CLITORAL FERMENTATION” was done and in November they sign for AMPUTATED VEIN RECORDS from Japan who released the album in December 2008. In the spring of 2009 Marco left the band due to his personal activities and Giorgio Cavaliere from Deadlystrain took his place as bass player. With this line-up we are playing live and writing new songs for the upcoming album “POST ABORTION SLUT FUCK” that will be out on January 2010 under US label Sevared Records.

Through the years, Vulvectomy played many shows in Italy (Tattoo Deathfest and Lowlands Deathfest), Europe (Neurotic Deathfest and Houten Deathfest in Holland, Kiev Sonic Massacre in Ukraine, MoshInsany Fest in Austria, NRW Deathfest in Germany) and United States (through California, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and Colorado) supporting the new release and after the promotional tour, the band records 8 new songs for the third album also under Sevared Records in February 2013 entitled “ABUSING DISMEMBERED BEAUTIES“.

After a European tour in 2015 with In Torment and Bloody Violence, which featured a live drummer (Alex Santilli) for the first time, the band is taking a long break from scenarios. It was not until 2021 that they decided to get back on track and this time with a big news, the inclusion in the band, as a permanent member of drummer Marco Coghe (Devangelic, Posthuman Abomination, Stigmatized). With this new line up, they are preparing to play live in 2022 at Chicago Domination Fest, and to record in 2023 the fourth album. In fact, 8 new songs are already ready, which represent sonically an evolution of the band, always keeping the main characteristics, which distinguish them. In 2023 some dates are already scheduled in Europe, where you can listen to the new songs; so follow the social networks in order to stay updated and come to support Italian Slam Gang.
